OCTOPATH TRAVELER
A TURN BASED ROLE-PLAYING GAME WITH AN UNIQUE COMBAT SYSTEM
Octopath Traveler is a game developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is a turn-based role-playing game that revolves around 8 playable characters. There are multiple chapters that you can complete for each of these characters. Each character has spells and weapons unique to their class that you can utilize to be successful within the game.
DIVERSE COMBAT EXPERIENCE
Each character belongs to a class that specializes in certain aspects of combat. For example you can select a supportive type role and support your party through healing spells or spells that will make your party stronger through buffs. Or you can take a damage dealing class and utilize spells that are focused on dealing damage to the enemy units. There are even spells that will deal damage to the entire enemy party!
COUNTLESS INTERACTIONS THROUGHOUT THE GAME
While a majority of the game revolves around combat you will need to utilize each characters unique Path Ability. These are used while interacting with Non-Player Characters (NPCs) throughout the game. These abilities range from: Challenging NPCs to gain access to blocked areas, Stealing/Buying items that normally wouldn't be obtainable, Having NPCs follow you when they normally wouldn't leave their area in the game, and additional interactions with NPCs that normally aren't there.
IMMERSE YOURSELF IN THE GAMEPLAY
Octopath Traveler is a game full of wonderful gameplay. Completing just the main story, you will need to complete all 8 characters stories within the game, will equal over 100 hours of gameplay.
